Like her brothers, Frank and Walter Antonich, Annie enjoyed competing in first aid competitions. She achieved her Junior First Aid Certificate in May 1947 and competed for the Bowen Shield (teams of three ladies) and the team came third (June 1947). In May 1948, she achieved the second year first aid award and, in March of 1949, she passed the senior first aid exams at Princeton Centre.
She acted in the junior production of “The Little Red Schoolhouse as a member of the Princeton High School Drama Club (1946). She was also a member of the Princeton Bowling League (1950; 1950; 1950; 1953) and the Princeton Curling Club (1950; 1951; 1952; 1952).
In March 1948, Annie Antonich canvassed for the Red Cross fundraising campaign.
She married Mike Barzal in 1954. At the time of her husband’s death in 1983, they were living in Osoyoos, BC.
