She participated in the Orange Day celebrations in 1928 (won the 75 yard open ladies race) and 1931 (won the adults “Boot and Shoe Race).
After their marriage in 1935, Ronald and Dorothy Cam planned to make their home at Summers Creek
The were living in Salmon Arm when their child, Donald Arthur Cam (1936-1947), died of a perforated appendix.
