Edna Verdier was born at Cobble Hill, Vancouver Island, BC. She met William Joseph Dignan in 1917 and they married in 1919. She died at Port Hardy, BC.
The family was resident of the Princeton area in the 1920s.
According to Edna (Dignan) Slater, in Princeton Our Valley, the family lived in the barn on their property from the fall of 1933 until the fall of 1939.
The Similkameen Star reported on November 2, 1939 that Mr. and Mrs. William Dignan had been honoured with a farewell party in the Parish Hall. They were moving to her father’s farm near Victoria. Daughters Edna and Frances remained in Princeton.
