saac A. Dinsmore worked as a constable with the provincial police force at Grand Forks in October 1906. In 1909, he was stationed in Midway. He came to Princeton to discuss better police protection with members of the Princeton Board of Trade in September 1909. In 1911, he was referred to as provincial chief constable. On November 22, 1911, the Similkameen Star reported that I.A. Dinsmore (chief constable and license inspector) was in town and going as far as Tulameen.
Inspector Dinsmore died on January 22, 1913 at Greenwood, BC. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Forks. He was succeeded by John Simpson of Kaslo, BC.
