James Reid Dobie was born in Merritt, BC, on November 17, 1924. He married Sarah Elizabeth Kirby (of Copper Mountain) in Princeton, BC, on June 3, 1946. At the time of his marriage, he was working as a mill worker at a copper mine and living in Princeton. He died in Haney, BC, on June 22, 1973. He had recently retired from being an accountant in the construction industry.
He joined the IOOF Lodge #52 on March 8, 1954 at age 30. Occupation: Time keeper at Allenby.
