Eastcott, Alfred Rudolph
Gladys Margaret (Cousland) Eastcott
Alfred Eastcott was born in Exeter, England, on June 29, 1900. He came to Canada in 1920. In 1924, he came to BC. He married Gladys Cousland in Vancouver on July 12, 1930. He died on March 31, 1992 in Prince George, BC.
The Eastcott’s arrived in Princeton in April 1943, taking up residence on Bridge Street. Before coming to Princeton, Eastcott was the assistant chief engineer of the Brentwood plant of the BC Electric Company. He was appointed superintendent of the Granby power plant in April 1945, succeeding D.F. Gorrie. He was on the local council for the Bureau of Post War Reconstruction and Rehabilitation, tasked with electrification.
He was a member of the Princeton Fish and Game Club in 1945.
