Florence Macaulay was born in Canmore, AB to John Macaulay and Emma Marther (Runger), and had a brother, John Lewis (Bob). They moved to Princeton in early 1900s. They settled near the old cement plant at Rainbow Lake. She married Bill Eddy in 1920 and had four children: Jean, Alan, Aulay and Belle. The family lived in town for a while then later moved to the farm directly above Taylors’ Mill. They supplied eggs and chickens to the local grocery store for several years. When Bill passed away in 1963, the farm was sold and Florence moved into town to live on Allison Flats on Allison Avenue. Florence died Sept. 24, 1978 at the age of 74. She lived in Princeton for 70 years and was an active member of United Church Hospital Auxiliary.
