Ina Almstrom was born on November 29, 1907 at Phoenix, BC. She married George Ford. She died on March 3, 1995, in Surrey Memorial Hospital. At the time of her death, she was living in Surrey, BC.
Her family came to Princeton from Phoenix, BC, in October 1920.
She attended Princeton public school and Princeton High School. She participated in the “annual Christmas tree of the Presbyterian Sunday School” in December 1920 and was active in the Princeton Athletic Association, participating in the Ice Carnival in February 1921. She was also a member of the “Over the Top” musical revue in the Oddfellows’ Hall in April 1923, which raised $157.05 for the Ladies’ Hospital Auxiliary.
According to her obituary (Vancouver Sun, May 06, 1995, she “raised her family” in Bralorne – her brothers, Adne and Emil, also lived and worked at Bralorne – and then moved to New Westminster around 1963.
