Angela Freeman was born in Falmouth, Cornwall, England on June 25, 1891. She was the youngest of ten children born to John Albert Freeman and Florence Lee (Collinson) Freeman. She never married. She died in Delta, BC, on July 18, 1990.
Angela Freeman arrived in Princeton in 1910 with her family. When she was young, she often travelled to visit friends and relatives. In July 1915, she visited the A.E. Howse family at Nicola. She visited friends in Victoria from May to August 1916. August 1917 saw her visiting friends in Ashcroft.
She had a lengthy involvement with the Princeton Red Cross. In 1915, she helped with a Red Cross Tea and, in 1918, she became the secretary of the local group. In September 1940, she organized the Red Cross canvassers.
In June 1919 she participated in a fundraiser to build a new Catholic Church. The Freeman family collectively donated $275.00 to the building fund in June 1919.
At some point before December 1921, she moved with her family to Salmon Arm and she visited her sister, Mrs. P.W. Gregory (Mollie (Freeman) Gregory), in Princeton in December 1921. She visited again in 1923 and 1924.
She was living in Princeton at some point before 1930 when her mother Florence Lee (Collinson) Freeman died at Angela’s home in Princeton in May 1930.
In 1931, at the time of the 1931 Census of Canada, she was living in Princeton with her older brother, Wilfred. She was thirty-nine and he was forty-nine. They were both single. She was described as a homemaker and Wilfred, a draftsman.
She also excelled at sports, winning badminton tournaments and golf tournaments from early 1939 to late 1940.
She disappears from the Similkameen Star in late 1940.
