W.S. Garrison transported Bill Miner in a horse drawn cart in 1906 from Midway to Schisler’s Ranch on Bald Mountain, just east of Princeton. In 1907, the Garrison family moved to Princeton because of dray work hauling for the railways. A. D. Broomfield Sr. and Bill were partners in the livery business in Midway, and they both came to Princeton to buy a hotel and a livery business. They cut cards to see who would get which and Bill Garrison got the livery business and Alex Broomfield got the hotel.
