Robie Gold was born on May 23, 1919 in New Westminster, BC. He married Mary Elizabeth Lee. He died on June 23, 1995 in Kelowna, BC.
Robie Booth Gold and Robin Birch Gold were twins, sons of John Isaac Gold and Annie Booth. They bought Tom and Kate Harvey’s place in 1946. They came into the area after the Second World War and developed a fish camp at Teepee Lakes. By 1948, TeePee Fishing Camp (near Bankeir, BC) had its first customers.
Both men enlisted (underage) in the Air Force.
Gold was retired from his occupation as a “fishing camp operator” at the time of his death in 1995.
