Worked on C.P.R came to Granite Creek 1885 Appointed Gold Commissioner and Mining Recorder 1885. See Tunstzll 1885 and 1887 Ed Transferred to Princeton 1900. First Govt. Agent, Minign Recorder, Gold Commissioner, Registrar of Births Deaths and marriages, Health Inspector. Retired 1927 912. Also had telephone from his house to town. Also the Government Agent. (Same period) Retired 1927, passed August 20, 1944 Vancouver Born in Armagh Ireland came to Canada 1880 – Kamloops, Nicola, Granite Creek. Became the mining recorder at Granite Creek in August 1889. Later appointed Gold Commissioner and other positions in connection with the assessment and taxation of lands. Office at Granite Creek until Mrach 19, 1900’s moved to Princeton and a year or two later the old court house was built. (Pr. H.S) He was prov. constable for several years.
