Mary Kraetor was born on April 15, 1901 in Karlow, Galicia, Ukraine. She married Nicholas Kraetor. They came, with their children, to Princeton in 1930.
She was called as a defense witness in the case of James Lacy (a.k.a. Patrick S. Driscoll). Under the vagrancy laws, Lacy was ordered to leave Princeton within 24 hours and not to return within six months. He refused to leave and was arrested and sentenced to three months at Oakalla Prison Farm.
Mary Kraetor was a supporter of the local chapter of the Ukrainian Canadian Association and donated $10.00 to the Canadian Aid to Russia Fund in February 1943.
She was employed by Princeton Public School and died on the job in August 1962.
