Pelly, Betty (Clarke)
Betty grew up in an isolated logging camp, located on the shores of Harrison Lake. She completed high school in the Chilliwack. She married Robert Pelly in 1948. They bought the Clement place near Jellico Station in 1948. The flood cut them off from all supplies from Princeton. Soon after they moved to the coast returning in 1952. They bought a ranch from Jack Liddle that was located at the bottom of Baker Hill in the 5-Mile Valley. This place was known as the Rick Dillard place. (See 5 mile file.) They had two sons: Clifford and Clarke. In their later years they led a quieter life, enjoying visits with friends and family. Bob was a devoted caregiver to his wife, Betty, for many years. She was past pres. Canadian Galloway Ass. 1963-4 Regional Rep. Regional Dist.
