(Lorenzetto) Born in 1875. She was an old timer honored in the 1958 BC Centennial. She was the Centennial Queen in 1958, over 80 years old at the time. The Lorenzettos came from Italy and farmed at St. Elmo on the Fraser River, serving Fort Hope, and the communities along the river. They specialized in fruits, vegetables and oxen. Euphemia’s older sister came to the Similkameen and married Mr. Bromley. Euphemia married Mr. Rabbitt and they were early farmers in the Tulameen area. The Fame of St. Elmo is a biographical book of her young life.
