Charles Reda was born in Victoria, BC, on July 4, 1896. He was the son of Lorenzo “Louis” Reda, a hotelkeeper, and Angelina “Angela” Revello. He married Mary Patitucci on March 20, 1915 in North Vancouver, BC. His second wife was Dorothy Sherwood. He died in Victoria on September 30, 1988.
In December 1945, Reda and his partner, Mickey King (both of Vancouver), bought the Hotel Princeton from Robert G. Hunter. The Similkameen Star reported that Reda was formerly the proprietor of the Wakefield Inn at Sechelt, BC. He was proprietor of the Hotel Princeton until 1948.
