Whillans, Henry Alexander, Dr.
Titled ’12 years agi’ Dr. Whillans is making extensive additions to his commodious residence, opposite the school house. Coming events cast their shadowns before, eh Doc? First resident doctor in Princeton. Came in with Alec Bell about 1900, moved from here to Hedley, then to the coast, to Prince George, and Stewart. His wife was Miss Dunlop (One of our earliest school teachers) she was a school trustee for a couple of terms. (Ref: Pr. H.S) Princetons first doctor who arrived in 1900 He received $300 a year from the Provincial Government as an assistance allowance. His first patient was Pete Gunderosn who was killed while falling a tree. His daughter is said to be the first white child born in Princeton. Named resident physician in Princeton November 1900.
