Maxwell Stevenson Wilson “Max”

Emily Pavey was born around 1879 in St. Thomas, Ontario, to Edwin and Eleanor (Hackridge) Pavey. She was living in Chilliwack, BC when she married Maxwell “Max” Wilson in Vancouver on July 22, 1908. She died in Chilliwack on March 5, 1934.
The Wilson’s moved to Princeton (from Chilliwack) before December 1909.
She demonstrated “club swinging” (a type of early 19th century exercise practise) at the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary fundraiser at the Princess Theatre on November 25, 1914. The next evening she sang a duet with Miss Leighton.
She was a member of the Ladies’ Orange Benevolent Association (1915); an active member of the Tommy Atkins Knitting Club (1916) and a member of the Presbyterian Church Ladies’ Aid (1916). She was elected secretary September 1916. She also taught Sunday school (1916).
Emily and Max Wilson and a group of friends were in a car accident May 1916. No one was seriously injured.
She left Princeton in mid-December 1917 in a move back to Chilliwack. Her husband, Max, joined her a few weeks later.
