Panorama of logging camp
Two images composed as a panorama of a logging camp with various rudimentary apparatuses ostensibly for preparing trees for transport. Collection of photographs associated with Gertrude Hall (nee Jackson). Accompanying note reads: ” George William Henry Jackson came to Canada from Wales/ Lancaster in 1911. He surveyed for the RR across the prairies and into BC. These are photos from his collection. He settled in West Van and went to design ships for Northland Nargatin and also work for the BC Electric Company among other endeavours. His daughter, Helen Gertrude Hall (nee Jackson) 1928-2022 “inherited” many photos. I am trying to send appropriate images to the various museums in BC. The alternative is to throw them out. We hope you can find a place for these in your collection. Sincerely Marguerite Hall (for) Michael Hall (for his mother) Helen Gertrude Hall”
