50th wedding anniversary of Walton and Lucie Holmes on Sunday, August 3, 1930. Almost 200 people attended the party which was held at their homestead up the Blakeburn Road. The celebration was postponed from an earlier date due to the death of their 5-year-old granddaughter, Edna Eileen Ramsay.
